Problem with positioning moving heads

Post by EduardoB »

Hi to all ! I'm new in this software, so I have some doubts

I want to begin excusing me for my English, I'm going to try to do the best I can.

I'm using a Geni OBY-3 250 spot and I'm currently programming offline.
When I plug in the interface, the moving head does not place in the same spot I see in the 3D view.
I have a (more or less) 5 degrees of error. In distance it matters! about 5 meters of error at 10 meters of distance.

In example: If I put the arms of the head in parallel to the base in the 3D view, the real head goes that way, but a little bit to the right.

The tilt is perfect, only ocurrs on the pan.

There is any way to change this from the library (change the dmx values only for this 2 channels (pan/pan fine)?
Or limiting the values so 127 is the actual 127 dmx value for the unit?

Thanks in advance.

You must find the PAN amplitude in degrees (should be written on the manual) of your fixture and modify it in the profile.

Thanks bruno, but the amplitude is OK, 570°

It seem that the 3d head is out of phase compared with the real one.
The center (DMX 127) is just a few degrees aside from where it shoul be.
Any ideas?

Sorry for the double post, couldn't find an edit button.

The real head in DMX 127 is displaced, the 3d view is right on the center.

I have also a OBY Wash 600, and this unit work perfectly, the center is right.
