[midi]select button crash

Post by racso »

Hello,
I'm using Sunlite Suite 2 with the BCF-2000, and when i add a 'select button' function to any hardware button on my midi controller the software crashes.
it's in all the versions of sunlite 2, including the last built ( 3 nov ).

Greets.

and another problem with the BCF-2000:

In the all the versions in about 5 to 60 minutes the communication between the midicontroller and the software disconnect ( i can't find any diconnect message's ).
the midi controller don't respond, and there is no feedback.

on all versions until the last build of 3-11-2010 the software freezes, the solution is:
- disconnect the midicontroller ( then the software will respond on the mouse and keyboard again )
- Reconnect the midicontroller.
- and make any changes on the midi-setup pannel of sunlite so the midi-controller will be re-connected.

in the newst build, the software won't freeze but the controller won't respond anymore, the solution is then making any changes in the midi-setup page, then sunlite will re-connect the midicontroller.

I'm using sunlite width Windows XP, the problems before 3-11-2010 build are also on a Windows 7 x64 machine.

i hope i have explaind the problem so much as possible,
my english is not that good.
if you need more info or Debug info please ask.

Regarding the first problem, I cant reproduce this...
1. does it happen every time?
2. does it happen both when your controller is connected AND when your controller is disconnected and you use the "click on the console window" command to assign the midi button to the switch selection?

Regarding the disconnection, we'll run some tests. Make sure you are using the drivers from the behringer website and not the default windows ones, let me know how you get on.

Hi,
1.It happens every time.
2.It happens ONLY when midi console is connected.
3.The assigned pushbutton DO NOTHING no matter the console is connected or not.

Hi,
I fixed the selected button trouble, I'll made a new beta asap.

For the Midi disconnected, I don't see this but I can add a reset Midi connection in the main toolbar !

Jose, let me know how you get on with the latest version. I have a BCF-2000 here which I will run for a few hours this week. It will help us to determine if it is a controller or PC issue.
