Master Dimmer

Post by MarkoftheWild »

Is there a way to make a fader for a master dimmer? Two in fact. One for everything and one for just the activated scenes and switches? I remember having something like this in S1 however in the version i had it didn't work properly.

Thanks

Hi Mark,

have you tried the "Native" Master Dimmer of Suite 2 ?
You have to check "Show general beam controls" in the "Software Preferences".
There is also a master dial for Iris and Zoom.

But you can create a "Dimmer switch" with Add/Sub settings to make a Masterdimmer, if you like.
and one for just the activated scenes and switches?
I don´t get this part.
If a scene or switch isn´t active it don´t need a master dimmer.
Can you explain more particularly ?

Have all your Fixtures a dedicated DMX dimmer channel ?
Some RGB Fixtures have only R G B Channels for Color mixing and you have to adjust the brightness with these aswell.
The Masterdimmer won´t work here.

OK
