New console function in SL 2006

Hi,
i'm trying to use the new console function in SL 2006.
I'm using the 'ESI 25 KeyControl' MIDI controller.
So far everything's fine. I've defined a new Console-Entry and assigned the data-knobs and the encoders.
But the ESI 25 KeyControl also has a 25 Note keyboard.
And now my question:
Is it possible to trigger buttons of the console with Note on/off commands?
I've inserted a button-control and tried to configure it to react on Note Commands but nothing happens
Any hint would be appreciated.
