BCF2000 - additional pages?
Hi, I'm using the BCF2000 controller and the default preset in SL2 only shows one page/preset of the controller. I need to add another page on the controller, but can not find any reference in the console editor (in SL2) If anyone can point me in the right direction how to go about it I would be gra...

Problems with cycles..
Hi, I recently moved from SL1 to SL2 and am having some annoying issues with the cycles functions.. I created some scenes in the master page, then created a cycle button and recorded a sequence of scenes into the cycle. 1. Each time I select the cycle (as well as when initially creating it), the mas...

DMX hickups?
Hi, I just recently upgraded to Suite 2 and am busy re constructing some shows. I had a few old LED movers (Chauvet Qwash260 LED) and some generic Par LEDs connected directly to the interface (BC) and all was working well for the first few hours. Then it started as if resetting every once in a while...

Re: Plz help. How to add 3 pars on stage all with same chane
First, just to be clear, duplication of fixtures only needs to be done in the visualizer. Actual fixtures can be multiplied by connecting to the same dimmer channel (within the dimmer's power limits) or by running aditional dimmer/s allocated to the same DMX address as the first. If you want the vis...

Re: Some simple questions
This laptop is dedicated to SL. No video or even audio applications, only the basic windows programs and Avast antivirus. I believe in task separation. Safe and reliable with no chance of one program loading or stalling and maybe effecting another one running on the same machine. I have a separate l...

Re: Some simple questions
I agree with your observation about laptops being more ridged then desktop PCs. I use a laptop (Del Vostro 1300 IIRC) that has been rock stable. In my setup the laptop is mounted to a tray that is coupled to the case by shock absorbers. This adds some cushioning to the laptop. This is my setup: http...

Re: Some simple questions
You should edit the global fixture profile to the correct dimmer range. Launch ScanLibrary and open the relevant fixture page. Hit the edit button on the dimmer channel/line and In the Dimmer window settings you will see the 'Last DMX Level' which is probably 255. Change it to 230, Press OK and stor...

Re: Some simple questions
Only for the INIT button. It's not possible for any of the switches or scenes of a page because they have different values for the relevant channels as set by programming. When they are released (inactive) they don't send any value to any channel, so to eliminate the control of any switch button jus...

Re: Some simple questions
What does the off setting do to each channel ? When a channel is set as 'off' within a certain switch, it means that this channel is not controlled by this switch and the channel is free to take any value that may be set by another switch or scene that may be running on that page at the same time. ...

Re: Some simple questions
No. Not the master page. I had a seperate page created called "Show Sequence" and created all my cycles within it. Why are you not using the master page for all the cycles and combined swiches? It is there exactly for this purpose. I am pretty sure your 'Show Sequence' page is not kosher ...

Re: Some simple questions
Not sure I can help here. Are you referring to the Master page as your sixth page where you placed all the cycles? Because if not, this may be the problem. All switches, scenes or cycles that are composed of data from several pages should be located and run from the Master page only. As to the washe...

Re: Some simple questions
I had not tried deleting fixtures out of an existing page before, so I just tried it and I see what you mean about the empty channels… I guess an alternative rout would be to create a new page from blank and specify the reduced number of fixtures. This way, the fixture group will be continuous and a...

Re: adding a touchscrenn to my setup
Had to check this out... For anyone looking at controlling SL commands and/or switches from a separate touch screen, here are some directions and an example. The remote (screen) control program is the MIDI Buttons from AVD, free downloadable here: http://www.audiovisualdevices.com.au/software/midibu...
