Sunlite Software's Software
Anyone know what Sunlite was written in? VB? Visual C++? Trying to figure out what is the most flexible software development platform and stuff. Thanks in advance!

.x files are not true DirectX Format
I need to build some 3d scenes using sunlite's objects, but they don't convert to 3ds objects or any other 3d format. In fact, the various converters that I have tried (3dwin, quick3d prof) can't even open the .x files because it says they are not a valid directx format. So Sunlite..............what...

LiveControl Options #2
One final thing that I just discovered by playing with LiveControl to a greater degree. LiveControl uses the absolute screen position of the mouse pointer to determine its corresponding dmx value (looks like some type of percentage math is done based on screen center point, etc). In my case, for the...

switch on/off control and LiveControl options
Thanks to everybody on the sunlite team for continuing to work with me on my requests. I looked at the new feature for 'this switch is always on' that I had asked about. But when I tried to make it work as I have been thinking about, it just didn't. I also have been playing around with the LiveContr...

final version/release?
When will the final version of Sunlite 2006 be released? I am waiting to test its features until final release to be able to then purchase it for use in my shows. Y'all had originally said release would be in feb/mar and now it's May. Will it be anytime soon?
Much thanks,

crazy idea: 2nd mouse or mouse->joystick emulation
I have a suggestion that may never make it into the software. With my lightshows, I am planning on using some of the live control features with a gyration gyro mouse to 'conduct' the lightshow 'live'. It would be even better to be able to use two of them and have sunlite pick up the 2nd mouse as add...

auto-release of switches in easy-show
Hello, I had posted something regarding Easy Show a few months back that would be very useful to me. I wanted to see if a feature could be made to control whether a switch in easy show gets released at the end of its duration. Scenes don't auto-release, but switches do. With the level of programming...

great discussion
this is a great discussion of the visualizer and other parts of sunlite. definitely something to be considering as I will be starting the programming of an extremely complex multimedia show starting in january with this system. Shep, you never answered the other person's question about the reliabili...

specific loop amounts in scenes/switches
Just wanted to toss another idea out here for a new feature for 2006. Something very handy when producing very 'exact' pre-programmed shows like I create would be to have a way of setting a scene/switch to loop X amount of times and then stop. This might be something that is offered on some other so...

ok......sorta figured it out
I see that this sort of works if you overlap switches on different switch lines on the same fixture......it will 'jump' to the new switch and auto-release the other one......but it would still be great if they didn't auto-release on end........would save me a lot of time and extra switch lines to be...

ok, got that...one more question...switches in easyshow
ok, so in my shows I need to use a lot of switches. problem is, in easy show......switches seem to 'auto-release' after the playback 'cursor' moves past them. that would create a lot of visual problems for my shows. is it possible that a switch will not turn itself 'off' after its time is done in ea...

why doesn't speed or dimmer function work?
there is an option in easyshow to 'enable dimmer function' and/or 'enable speed function' for each button or switch.....however, it doesn't seem to draw a fader on the buttons when I 'enable' this feature. any reason why this is? has anyone else figured out how to make this work? it would be very ha...

Sunlite 2006?
I wanted to see what was in development as far as new features / fixes / additions in the Sunlite 2006 suite. I would assume the software will be available in beta soon? And then it would be available to buy in Jan? Also, if you ever actually come up with a 'real' technical manual instead of a fairl...

Suggestion for EasyView (2004) Stage Movement
One problem I always seem to have in EasyView is that the center of the 'room' cannot be changed. Anytime you rotate the room or zoom in/out, you are always dealing with the exact center of the room being your 'constraint'. It would be ideal to either be able to totally move the stage to a different...

OK, I have figured out that you have fixed the original bug with this. The timelines and all the buttons in their order and time and length translate correctly into a cycle when generated from EasyShow. However... the times shown in the cycle do not make sense with regard to editing them later on wi...
