The spec for the SUIDI-5A unit:
Firmware 1.36
SN 293753153
12V DC 1.25A external
When the unit is connected USB power to the PC, it works perfectly fine. It reads and writes the scenes correctly.
When the unit is powered by 12V DC external stand alone mode, the LED fixture does not respond.
I connected the interface to the computer and ran tools.exe. The picture of my interface appeared and after a success upload of firmware (May 4th 2011), the light fixture still does not respond.
If I connect my fixture to the interface and write the scene, the stand alone mode still does not respond.
Do you have any suggestions?

I opened your link to learn about the missing component U11. I opened my unit casing and found that the circuit board does have the U11 chip soldered on already.
