suidi 6c problem

hello,

i've just recently bought the SL512BC (siudi 6c) first i thought the sunlight didn't recognise the hardware,
but on dmxsoft is said that when the red led is blinking but the fixtures aren't receiving dmx the 8-pin chip needs to be replaced..
i find this a kind weird because i bought the hardware just 2 days ago.
is this normal?

The green LED must flash very quickly when the interface is recognized by the software. Plus, you should be able to read "1 SL512BC" on the lower-left corner of the software startup screen. If it is not written then the interface is not recognized and you must check if the USB drivers are correctly installed.
