Writing Scenes with the Chaser tab?

I know how to use the easytime editor, but i am trying to create a chase effect. I am not trying to use the Easystep tab. Any help with the steps to do so on the Chaser Tab?

-Switch the rack ON by selecting the ON by selecting the POWER button.
-Assign a chaser channel to a DMX channel by clinking on a block from the top, then clicking at the top of a channel.
-select a pattern from the dropdown box
-if you switch the rack off, the chaser will be converted to an easytime sequence
