Power Loss to STICK or other controller

Post by 3thanB »

If the STICK or Easy Stand Alone controller with calender capabilities loses power, will its date/time info be lost? Would I have to then reset it and reload scenes, or would it keep going like nothing ever happened? Thanks...

The STICK date and time is lost after about 10-20 minutes.

The scenes are stored on an SD card so these will not be lost.

All our other interfaces contain a battery, therefore the time and date is saved when power is lost.

How long does the battery in the stick last until the date & time is lost? So when the date & time is lost, i have to reset the stick time using the tools.exe? Do i need to re upload the scenes to the stick?

Sorry for the late reply, I missed this post.

If you have a STICK with serial number under 3000, your STICK does not contain a battery and the clock will be lost after around 10-20 minutes without power.

If you have a STICK with serial number over 3000, your STICK does contain a battery and the clock will last several months without power.

If I use a stick with a serial number less 3000 and the power is interrupt more than half an our how will the stick get in time?
Is it necessary to use the hardware tools with the USB connection or is it also possible while opening the ESA pro via wireless lan?

Where do you find the serial number and can you denote which one you want at purchase?

The serial number is written on a sticker on the back of the STICK, you can also connect the STICK to a PC via USB and open tools.exe which can be found in the software directory. The serial number is written on the first tab
