App for apple can't control the Stick 1

Where using the Stick1 hardware to control our led lights inside 7 large pools at a hotel in Miami. We connected the android system and it went well so we tried to connect the apple app we see the stick1 ip address and connected to it and it shows the right feedback except I can' t control the stick1. We tried everything including downloading a newer version of the app. we also tried Iphone 5, Ipad air, ipad 2 but same result. In the Ethernet tab I have checked the DHCP and everything is open in the router side. Does anyone else had this issued or a solution? Is the device defective?
