16-bit dimming

Post by 69morpho »

Hi there,

I'd like to start using 16-bit dimming to control simple RGB LED-strips in order to achieve smoother fades especially in low brightness region.

I assume that should be possible in ESA PRO with the right fixture profile. I found profile "rgb16bits" in the "_varied" ScanLibrary folder.

Could you please let me know if this is the right approach for using 16-bit dimming with ESA PRO?

I found the following 16-bit encoder: http://www.led12345.com/16-bit-dmx-cv-d ... p-110.html

Any other recommendations?

Thank you for your help in advance!

Is your question whether the software can control 16-bit or whether the device you linked can? The software can and you can use a stock profile that is 16-bit or make your own in ScanLibrary.
