Update Sunlite Suite2

Hello, i work with the the sunlite suite2 version Jun 7 2011
how can i update my suite to the dec. 2012 version. just make a new intsallation?
in an extra folder or in the old sunlite folder? should i install the usb drivers aswell?
and are my projects ans shows also updatet to work with, or should i make a backup of them?

Hello comedy123,

you can install the new version over the old version in the same folder.
If you install the new beta version of Suite 2 it will install in a different folder by default,
so you´ll have two version on your PC to choose from.

You need to install the driver as well to use your DMX interface.

Your old shows should work with the new version, however please backup your shows first !
Look into the -Datalight folder and copy it or save your shows to a backup folder.

Most likely you need the update your firmware in the interface as well using tools.exe after you installed the new version of software.

Do yourself a favour, don´t make these updates five minutes before your next live show.
It´s always good to have some time to test everything.

thank you for your answer!
i hope my problems with easyshow will gone with the new version.
i have timeline wir wav´s and lights and i oft have short freezes before the show continues after a pause.
