Stick-DE3 not recognized by Tools

I have a Stick DE3 with firmware .99. When I hookup to the USB port and boot up the beta software it asks to have the firmware updated to the last firmware using Hardware tools which does not detect the controller. I have tried a new memory card but still cannot connect to the controller. Can you tell me what I am missing.

This is an error with the esapro software. In fact you need to use hardware manager not hardware tools. Hardware manager is available here:
