RGB 16 Bit - How to Create Smooth Fade?

Sirs,

I recently upgraded my ESL software and found the RGB 16 Bit SSL file in "Varied" folder. This is exactly what I need to control our new drivers in 16 Bit mode.

Unfortunately I have not found the algorithim to create a smooth fade pattern between colors using the fine controls.

What trick or software do I need to use to create a smooth fade using 16k steps instead of 255 steps?

The new SSL2 fixture profiles allow for 16 bit color mixing, however 16 bit color mixing is not yet compatible with any of our software.
