Easy repositioning moving heads

This weekend I talked with someone with a chamsys setup. He told that it was very easy if everything was setup, to change the offset ov moving heads. If for instance the singer decides to stand 2 meters more to the front, it would be very easy to also move the direction of those heads 2 meters.
I don't know if this functionality also exists in the suite 2? I know you can do this seperatly for every scene, but it would be very handy if you have a master offset button to control this. So if you have small or big podia, you can easily change for instance the location where the singer stands by default without programming.

Hi,
have you already checked out programming using palettes ?
There“s a video on Nicolaudie TV that shows the use of palettes in alliance with positioning Moving-Lights.

Hi Gernot,
yesterday I've red something about it on the flyer, but haven't checked the TV yet.
I'll sure gonna do that now.
Thanks for the reply.

In the meantime I saw the TV tutorial.
If I understand correctly, you create a pallet, but then still you have to open every scene where you want to have this changed. If you have 100 scenes, it still is time consuming to open them one by one, edit,...
Maybe you can implement a faster way to do this?
Thanks,
Walter

I think you need to re-watch those tutorials. It explains that the whole point of palettes is so you don't have to open each scene and re-edit..otherwise, there would be no point in making the palette in the first place.
Anyway, you're question was about creating an offset button. I suggest you:
1. Create a switch with the dimmer property assigned to the X and/or Y channels of the fixtures you want to offset
2. add a dimmer fader to the button
3. set the buttons priority to "Add to current level"
4. use the dimmer fader to add the offset
You could make the offset button to work for all fixtures but then use it as a live edit. You could also modify the pre-programmed XY buttons to work in "add to current level" mode.
