What are these SGL files?

Since a few weeks I'm using SunLite 2002 in a club and I was browsing in the ICON directory of the ScanLibrary folder. I found a lot of .SGL files which don't make much sense to me, nor can I open them in ANY program I know (and I know a lot of software 
)
My question for you guyz is: What are these .SGL files, what are they used for and can they be edited as well? Just like the .ICO files?
