Hi,

You should first verifiy midi messages using the lpd8 configuration software.

Next, use the "midi console builder" to edit the lpd8.csl2 and create "group button" for the 8 pads and 8 knobs using the previously defined midi messages.
The default file is not very nice...

You can look at "APC40" preconfigured mapping for example.

I could try to correct it, but i don't have lpd8 to try it...

Gael

I understand...

Don't be focalized on the "program" button.
To access Prog 1, you have to push "program" and "pad 1" together.
To access Prog 2, you have to push "program" and "pad 2" together.
Etc...
Right ?

So, you just have to create a "virtual" group selector button on the console... for my test i used the one of the berhinger BCF2000, it has 4 groups ! Just what we need...

Next, for each pad and knob, you have to say that they are linked to that group: In "properties" (right of the screen), in "Control pos", select the "Group" using the dropdown list.
When you activate the group, the Button properties are divised in 4 sections where you can select flash mode by "program".
You can also define for each pad/knob per program, the midi message send by the hardware.

After you will have done this very loooooong design, your console will be usable by Sunlite and the 4 program should be available.
The virtual program selector will allow you to select the right program mode when you will assign Sunlite functionnality by the console window.

Hope you have understand my poor english... :)

I've uploaded the one i have edited...

We don't have this console at the office so it's difficult for us to test a perfect mapping, however if you make a better version please send it over so we can add it to our library for the beinifit of other customers

Hi, I've made some changes to the console file. It's now possible to trigger 3 different messages from each pad depending on the PAD/PROG/CC buttons pressed on the left. I've pre-mapped what appear to be the default commands, however if it doesn't work you can map it yourself by clicking the arrow in the top right of the console window and selecting "learn MIDI console preset". It's not possible to use multi presets in 1 console because the grouping feature is already being used for the note/cc/pgm buttons, therefore you need to right click at the bottom of the console, select 'new' and create a new instance of the console.

To add the console:
-unzip the attached file
-copy the .CSL2 file to the common\console directory
-copy the image and .CCD file to the common\console\CCD directory

Hi,

You can define 3 * 4 = 12 groups instead of only 3...
But it's very time consuming to do... and to assign to sunlite... and to remember... pfuuu...

Yes not only this but it's confusing to use as you cannot embed a group within a group therefore you'll need 4 sets of PAD/PROG/CC group components. Much easier to just add 4 consoles.
