Hi
In continuation of my earlier post regarding Windows 7 , we eventually decided to use Win XP with SP2.
The serial nos of the three SIUDI 6C interfaces (Low cost) are 61868872, 61868874 & 61868876
I downloaded the latest drivers and Developer Kit from the Sunlite website and installed the same for the three interfaces.
All three were individually and singly connected to the USB port of the PC and were recognized with the amber LED on, red LED flashing and green LED off. The Device manager sees each as 'Intelligent usb DMX interface (low cost U6)'
Here's what we tested:
1) slmini.exe works fine ...green led flashes abd led par operates flawlessly
2) TDMX.exe works fine ...green led flashes abd led par operates flawlessly
3) Project1.exe works fine..green led flashes very fast (almost fully on) and par can works fine though a little sluggish.
BUT, Project1.vbp loaded under VB6 does not recognise any of the three interfaces ( 'Interface not found') and obviously the green light does not flash and no DMX is generated.
There is no time for me to do any major software changes. I had thought that the new interface with the new DasHard2006VB.dll (1.91Mb file size) will work fine with the existing software developed in VB6 as the dll function declaration and the commands look the same as with the earlier DasHard2006VB.dll (300Kb) .
The earlier SUIDI 5A (serial no 293742989) worked perfectly with the earlier DasHard2006VB.dll (300Kb) for e years as did several other SUIDI5As
I have to get the fountain running by 1st April or I am in big trouble..Please help ASAP
Thanks
Ujjal

Sorry for not mentioning in earlier post... we used an LED par can as test fixture.

Re: Problem with VB6 developer sample code
First of all you need to install latest driver: http://www.dmxsoft.com/global/ftp/SiudiDriver.exe
your Siudi6 must be recognized in Device manager as 'Intelligent Usb Dmx Interface (SIUDI6C, 32/64 bits)'

Re: Problem with VB6 developer sample code
Thanks for the reply
Installed the driver from the link you gave. No change ..... Still says 'Intelligent Usb Dmx Interface (low cost U6)' (See attachement) But that's not the issue....it still runs the compiled VB6 project (Project1.exe). How come the compiled version works and the uncompiled source does not.
The old 5C as well as the 5C (easy stand alone
I called their office on 30th March and was told that some one would get back to me with a solution within a few days but I am yet get it.
Thanks all the same
