Copying files between programs

Post by MarkoftheWild »

Since I am running 2 separate version of S2. One is a test and the other is main, is it possible to copy files between the 2? For example. I have a certain scene, switch or button or perhaps even a fixture profile in the main version, the one I use all the time. Can I copy one of those files over to the test program? eliminating the need to do any extra programming? I got the idea from when I was told to just delete the button that was causing the crash in order to bring the S2 back up working. In theory i think you should be able to copy certain files between the two copies in use. The main and test.

Please let me know.

Thanks

Hi Mark

Just go over to the main dialog and click save to save your show as a .shw file, then import your show in your other version of suite2.

You could dive in to the datalight folder and copy buttons and things but be careful because it may cause undesired effects, it wasn't designed for this!
